East York Meals on Wheels cares deeply for the well-being of our community. Telephone Reassurance is an additional service we offer to ensure both the health and safety of our clients.
Our staff Client Services Coordinator will match clients to one of the many volunteers, who will be available based on your personal schedule to periodically call to check in and chat. Our office staff provide support and follow up in the event of emergencies or concerns.
Telephone reassurance offers an array of benefits for clients, and it is absolutely free or charge.
Regularly scheduled calls provide a check on security and well-being.
Social contact reduces feelings of isolation.
Client friends and family rest assured that their loved ones are receiving additional social interaction with a caring volunteer.
Clients and volunteers have access to our Client Services Coordinator in the event of concerns.
